Our new adventure...

Thanks Holly for being there...holding my hand during painful contractions, updating the blog, and for overall being a great friend! Thursday night I felt mild contraction all night long...Friday morning the contractions seemed to be gaining strength. I went to labor and delivery where they attempted to stop the contraction...they upped the dose of terbutaline which wasn't working...then they tried Mag sulfate (a total nightmare drug) which also failed to work. Meanwhile hours have passed in which I was really struggling with the pain!! They finally made the decision to perform the c-section. At 10:47 p.m. Emma came into the world followed by Lily at 10:48p.m. They are both doing great!! They will require a month or so in the NICU but other then that they have excellent chances to be healthy, normal kids! They are both stunningly beautiful and lily has a very STRONG presonality...she HATES diaper changes and puts up quite the fight!! Emma is more laid back!! We are excited about our new journey with our baby daughters! Love Jen

Jen-
Congratulations!! I don't know if you remember me or not? I was part of the NICU support group at Harris about a year and a half ago with you. I'm Stacey Danford, and my son is Brock. We were in the Harris NICU 4 1/2 years ago. Do you remember? Anyway, I saw your good news on Holly's blog. She and I are friends. We met through the March of Dimes. Just wanted to let you know I started at the beginning of your blog and read all the way up to current. Your story is amazing. I can't wait to see pictures of them. Praying you take your baby girls home sooner than you think! I'm so happy for you!

Take Care,
Stacey Danford

Hey Jen,

I just got in from 4 days and 3 nights of being unplugged at the Live Oak Music Festival in SB, and I turned on my computer and saw this. I makes me literally weep with joy, and I am so happy for Dave and you! Bright blessings and good health and well-ness to your daughters and you and your family. BIG HUGZ from SB!
