hey friends!

It's been a really long time hasn't it...I am a slacker blogger.  There, I admitted it.  I feel better now.  I'm so busy with my little life--and the 4 hours that the girls attend preschool FLY by...Laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning up the house, walking the dog and then I have to rush off and pick up the monkeys!  And what little monkeys they are...they are almost 4 now and they are now really inquisitive--I get the "why" question literally every five minutes.  I'm also trying to supplement their sort of non-academic pre-school curiculum with teaching them at home--we are learning our numbers (this is Emma "1, 2 6, 7, 8, 9, 4" EVERY TIME)  but Lily has pretty much nailed it.  I'm trying to find them a new school but this has not been a very smooth road for me...waiting lists suck...period...
I have spent many times crying in frustration that I just want my daughters to have a good education.  And this starts very early these days...what they need to know BEFORE kindergarden is suprising.
The biggest news is that we are putting in a swimming pool!  The permit just came today so the excavation starts tomorrow!  We are super excited as having a pool is life changing when you live in Austin...our summer started like 3 months ago and continues through November.  Hoping it will be done before Kelly, Jack and Conner come at the end of May.    Then I'm off May 30th to Seattle for my sisters babyshower :)  I'm so excited...a trip away without my kids!  WOOOOO HOOOOO!
Here are a few pictures!

rebooting...

I was sick for all of December and all of January...3 rounds of antibiotics, steroids, asthma inhalors...sick. It scared me...literally shook me to the core and faced me to evaluate my entire life. Fast forward to today :) sitting here at my desk tapping away happily while sipping my freshly made juice! my health has changed ...for the positive. I rebooted my immune system-- aiding my body in its detoxification procecces. I achieved this through juicing fresh organic greens, taking really long walks everyday, eating super clean and fresh, and the payoff has been incredible. I have so much more energy--both physical and emotional. I have more patience for my daughters. It's life changing to really FEEL healthy! So the girls are doing so amazing! Thriving and growing tall! Inquisitive and wild! Every week-end Austin is our wonderland! There are so many festivals and art. Love, love, love this place.

yet even more!

hey there...

I just realized that my last blog was haloween...things have just been crazy since then but we are settling nicely into our new home and had a really wonderful holiday season including a trip to Montana for big sisters wedding. We had a wonderful time :) Kelly was a beautiful bride indeed! I'm going to uplaod a million pictures now Auntie margaret!!!

spooky...

the girls had the best time on haloween--we dresses up and visited their daddy at work...decorated our yard with a grave yard, went trick or treating, followed by hoards of trick or treaters at our house. I bought 750 pieces of candy as we had been warned by the neighbors that we get a lot of action...but we ran out by 9:00. We had over 500 kids!!! It was unbelievable!!
